Key Features of the Espresso Charge

  • Design and Build: The Espresso Charge features a sleek design with rubberized padding on the base for stability. The front of the device displays the Espresso logo, and on the right side, you'll find a USB-C port along with an LED indicator light. The top plate of the Espresso Charge includes magnets that allow you to attach the Espresso Stand Pro.

  • LED Indicators: The device has three LED lights that provide information about the remaining charge:

    • Three LEDs lit: Fully charged.
    • Two LEDs lit: 33% to 90% charge remaining.
    • One LED lit: 10% to 33% charge remaining.
    • One blinking LED: Less than 10% charge remaining.
    • You can check the remaining charge by knocking on the top plate of the Espresso Charge.


Using the Espresso Charge

Powering Your Devices

  1. Powering Your Espresso Display and Mobile Devices:

    • Simply connect the Espresso Charge to your Espresso Display.
    • Then, connect your mobile device, tablet, or portable gaming device to the Espresso Display.
    • This setup allows you to use your devices while keeping them charged.
  2. Powering Your Laptop and Espresso Display:

    • If your laptop has one USB-C port:

      • Connect your laptop to the Espresso Display.
      • Then, connect the Espresso Charge to the other port on the Espresso Display.
      • The Espresso Charge will power both the display and your laptop through the display's power pass-through feature.
      • Note: In this setup, you can access the on-screen volume controls only on the 17 Pro model.
    • If your laptop has more than one USB-C port:

      • Connect your laptop to the Espresso Display using one USB-C port.
      • Use another USB-C port to connect to the Espresso Charge.
      • In this configuration, the Espresso Charge powers your laptop, and the laptop powers the Espresso Display.

Enhancing Your Experience with Espresso Flow

For more detailed information about your devices, pair your Espresso Charge with the Espresso Flow application:

  • Espresso Flow App:

    • Download the Espresso Flow app from the Espresso website.
    • Ensure the app is up to date.
    • You will see a lightning icon on the left side of the app interface.
    • Click on the icon to view detailed information such as your current laptop battery percentage, Espresso Charge battery percentage, and an estimated usage time remaining on your Espresso Charge.
  • Charging Tips:

    • If your Espresso Charge's battery is running low, we recommend charging it via a power adapter.
    • The LED indicators will show the charging status:
      • Pulsing One LED: 33% or less battery remaining.
      • Solid One LED and Pulsing One LED: 33% to 90% battery remaining.
      • Solid Two LEDs and Pulsing One LED: 90% to 99% battery remaining.
      • All Three LEDs Lit: Fully charged.
