Setup on Apple MacUpdated a year ago
We've designed the Display to have a simple setup with Apple Mac devices.
Step 1: Connect to the ports of your device.
Apple devices since 2017 have USB-C (also known as Thunderbolt 3) which is compatible and can both power the Display and send the video signal from your Mac with one cable. A Mac with a USB-C port provides the best experience with the espresso Display due to the simplicity of one cable.
espresso provides a USB-C cable that is compatible with the espresso Display. Please note the two steps:
You need to use the supplied espresso USB-C cable. Other cables that are USB-C may only be power cable. If you require a longer USB-C cable please click here to find out which cables are supported
If you have a Mac that is before 2017, it is likely you will need to use one of our Mini Display Port or HDMI cables.

If you have a MacBook Air, whilst the Display is compatible using USB-C, the MacBook won't be able to power the Display at full brightness and this may cause the Display not to connect. You may need an additional power supply such as a wall charger or a power bank, or you can use the Display at lower brightness. This is affected by the age of your Mac, and the condition of the battery.
Step 2: Installation of espressoFlow
